Who is Salley Carson? ‘The Bachelor’ contestant canceled her wedding before show

Ahead of the premiere of ABC’s award-winning show ‘The Bachelor’ Season 26, the showrunners teased the fans by dropping the list of the women who would be appearing on the show to woo Clayton Echard. The showrunners shared brief bios of these women as well alongside their headshots, while all the women had interesting bios, it was Salley Carson’s that grabbed everybody’s eyeballs.

This 26-year-old’s bio states that she was previously engaged. Needless to say, this information drew in a lot of curiosity from ‘The Bachelor’ fans. Who is Salley Carson?

As mentioned earlier, Salley is a 26-year-old from Charlottesville, Virginia. According to her LinkedIn profile, she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina- Columbia in 2017 in the field of science. She currently works with Medtronic, a medical technology company. She joined the med-tech firm in 2019 as a Clinical Specialist and has since then been promoted to the position of Associate Navigation and Robotics Consultant. Her ‘The Bachelor’ bio throws more light into the nature of her work, According to the ABC website she is a spine surgery robot operator.

This blonde beauty has been described as a “real-life Meredith Grey looking for her McDreamy”. Just like an episode of the medical -drama series, there seems to be enough drama in Salley’s life as well. According to Reality Steve, the 26-year-old was engaged previously to a man named Avery Buccholz and had her bachelorette party in Mexico one month prior to the official announcement of ‘The Bachelor’ cast for Clayton. He also added that Salley’s wedding date was September 26, 2021, the day after the contestants were revealed, but she allegedly called off the wedding a few weeks earlier. 

Reality Steve tweeted screenshots from Salley’s bachelorette party and her Facebook profile picture which still had a picture of Avery and her. He posted, “Hearing a ton of stuff already about these women, but this one has me floored: Salley Carson was engaged & having her bachelorette party a month ago. She was set to be married TOMORROW but wedding was called off a couple weeks ago. Now she’s on the Bachelor ha ha.”

In December 2021, Reality Steve posted another round of spoilers claiming that Salley never made it past night one. He wrote, “So Salley never made it to night 1. Once this all got out the day of the headshots being released, Salley was asked by production if she still wanted to do the show and she said no.” “Clayton was probably informed of this and went to talk to her in her hotel room pre-show, which is why the promo last night had him saying the first rose of his season was rejected. He’s referring to Salley choosing not to be cast for the show,” he added. 

So Salley never made it to night 1. Once this all got out the day of the headshots being released, Salley was asked by production if she still wanted to do the show and she said no.

Looks like Salley left Clayton with a broken heart as well. Even though things didn’t work out with Clayton, Sally came in on the show looking for a man who is loyal, fun and willing to give her lots of attention. Hope she finds it soon.
