Previously unpublished photographs of Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier skinny-dipping on honeymoon are among 70 personal belongings given by the actress’s family to a Spanish fan that are to be auctioned next month.
Leigh, best known for Oscar-winning roles in Gone with the Wind and A Streetcar Named Desire, formed a bond with Elvira Clara Bonet, after her admirer first wrote to her in 1957 and sent her roses.
Bonet kept up the tradition for the remaining decade of the actress’s life.
