Lewisburg native plans wedding | News, Sports, Jobs

Amy Burd, from Lewisburg, and Travis Allen, from Chouteau, Okla., have gotten engaged.

Amy, the daughter of Jennie Keefer of New Columbia and Lamar Keefer of Milton, graduated from Milton High School in 1993. She then received a bachelor’s of arts in communication and theater from Alvernia. She currently works for Marriott Hotels. Lamar is a U.S. Air force veteran and worked at Conagra. Jennie worked at Conagra.

Travis went to Siloam Springs, Ark., High School and is currently furthering his education in San Jose Community College in the field of meteorology. He’s currently working in the San Francisco bay area as a meteorologist. Travis’ parents were Ladonna and Steven Allen. Ladonna passed away when Travis was six. His dad was a butcher and owned Allen’s meats, a butcher shop in Siloam Springs.

A wedding is being planned to take place at the first Baptist church in Chouteau in March 2024.
