Jess Redden Pens Honeymoon Poem As Holiday Not As They Planned

Jess Redden has penned a poem as she and husband Rob Kearney finally reached the end of their honeymoon isolation.

The newlyweds had jetted off to Dubai to celebrate their marriage — but while over there were told they were close contacts.

Jess then found that she had contracted COVID-19 and was forced to isolate in her hotel room, with Rob by her side.

Tuesday marked the end of isolation for Jess and Rob, heading straight for the beach and a quick shop when they were out.

Taking to her Instagram, the pharmacy student shared a photo from the hotel room’s balcony she’s become very used to.

The influencer expressed her relief to be free in a poem.

‘It was all picture perfect at least it did seem, until I found out I had COVID-19,’ she wrote.

After sharing the news of contracting COVID-19, Jess received a snide message from a fellow Instagram user.

‘Did you not get guests to test each day [before] the [weekend]? Surely that’s the responsible thing to do,’ the person wrote.

Jess hit back: ‘We actually did leave antigen tests in everybody’s room who was at the wedding.’

The Louth woman shared the messages on her Instagram Story, writing: ‘An idea for COVID weddings! We used @flowflex.ie antigen tests and left one for everybody in their room, at the end of the day we all have our own individual responsibility as well.’

Jess then took to her Instagram Story again to thank those who showed support after her COVID diagnosis, admitting she was apprehensive to share the news at first.

‘Thankfully, all my family and friends are safe. My symptoms were quite mild. I just felt really floored, really fatigued,’ she explained.
