Derek, Ellen explore Tanzania with Elias for their honeymoon

Three months after their wedding, Derek Ramsay and wife Ellen Adarna are finally on their much-anticipated honeymoon.

The couple went on a safari trip to Tanzania, a country in East Africa, with Ellen’s son Elias and personal assistant Jessa Mucho.

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Ellen uploaded a photo of them boarding a plane. Her caption read, “[Emoji] Honeymoon pero naai baon + referee @jessamucho [emoji]”

It took them 24 hours of travel before they arrived at The Manor at Ngorongoro, a luxury country farm near the Ngorongoro Conservation area in Central Tanzania.

Ellen posted a photo of their arrival on Friday, February 25, 2022, and captioned, “24 hours nang walang ligo… #arrived”

According to The Manor’s official website, rates start at USD1,958 or PHP101,288.32 to USD3,435 or around PHP176,662.06, per night.

Based on their Instagram updates, the couple, Elias, and Jessa already visited the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Manyara National Park.

Also part of their itinerary was Serengeti National Park, a 15,000-square-kilometer World Heritage Site which is home to over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and some 500 bird species.

One of the highlights of their trip was the hot air balloon ride where they got to see the phenomenal view of the famous national park from above.

According to serengeti.com, a balloon flight costs USD599 or around PHP30,950.03 per person.
