Cheryl Burke Admits To Being A ‘Bridezilla’ While Planning Her Wedding

As any bride-to-be knows, planning a wedding can be very stressful. Dancing With The Stars veteran Cheryl Burke recently confessed to being a bridezilla throughout the wedding planning process. However, she proudly owns that title.

“Shout out to all of my Bridezilla’s out there! Cheryl Burke says it’s definitely okay to embrace your inner bridezilla

In the 12-minute video, Cheryl Burke describes how intense she was up until the wedding day. But Cheryl wants all brides to know that it’s okay to embrace their inner bridezilla.

The dancer says as a child, she never really thought about her dream wedding day as most little girls do. She says she always knew that Matthew Lawrence was “the one,” but she never even began picturing the wedding until he proposed. She did hire a professional wedding planner but admits that never stopped her from taking charge and making plenty of executive decisions.

However, Cheryl does want everyone to know that there are a few different ways to be a bridezilla.

“A bridezilla can either be bitchy and have friends ghost them after the wedding or there’s a bridezilla like I was that expected perfection from just myself, not from anyone else,” she went on to say. Knowing what you want is okay.

Two wedding dress designers quit on Cheryl before her big day

In the video, Cheryl Burke describes how she really wanted her dress to be special and even went through two dress designers before finally getting a dress designer that really worked.

She did give her bridal party some free reign with their outfits. She picked out a few different black dress styles for them to choose from. However, she did ask for no red lipstick. It’s just not really her thing.

The wedding day seemingly went off without a hitch though. After all her hard work, Cheryl Burke’s wedding finally came to life. Her favorite element of the wedding was her dance floor, which was circular and mirrored. She says she didn’t want the dance floor to look like a ballroom competition floor, since that was pretty much her whole life. The mirror reflected the twinkling lights from above and looked absolutely perfect.

Dancing With The Stars returns for Season 30

ABC recently renewed Dancing With The Stars for season 30, which will come out this fall. We don’t know whether or not Cheryl Burke will join the cast. She previously said she felt her elimination in Season 29 was unfair, so she may want to come back and fight for the title this year. Do you hope to see her back in the ballroom this year?
