Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alan Lamar of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann Morgan Lamar, to Trammell West Wells, son of Mr. and Mrs. Trammell Pillow Wells II of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James William Jones III and the late Mr. and Mrs. Everett Howard Lamar, all of Meridian.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Willard McGowan of Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Woods Herrington of Olive Branch, and Mr. and Mrs. Trammell Pillow Wells of Oxford.
Miss Lamar is a 2015 graduate of Lamar High School. She attended the University of Mississippi where she earned a degree in public policy and leadership in 2019. While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of the Trent Lott Institute and Kappa Delta sorority. Miss Lamar received a master’s of public policy from Vanderbilt University and is currently associated with Cooley Public Strategies in Nashville.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He attended the University of Mississippi where he received his bachelor of accountancy in 2018 and master of accountancy in 2019. While at Ole Miss, Wells was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is associated with Reflection Window + Wall as a Project Manager in Nashville.
The wedding will be August 27 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Meridian. A reception will follow at the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience.
