Cliona Hagan & hubby jet off for Nashville honeymoon days after singing Dolly Parton songs at wedding reception

CLIONA Hagan and her new husband jetted off to the Nashville on their honeymoon this weekend – days after staying up till 3am singing Dolly Parton covers at her wedding reception.

The former DWTS contestant tied the knot with husband Simon Sheerin on Wednesday with a no expense spared reception at the 5 star Kilronan Castle in Roscommon.

Cliona’s wedding dress had a beautiful heart-shaped bodice that was covered in lace and she had a large elegant veil that was embroidered with different patterns.

The gown was designed by Irish designer Geraldine O’Meara.

Meanwhile, Simon wore a unique black suit jacket that had flowers all over it and matching black trousers and a grey tie.

Guests including Saturdays singer Una Healy, singers Susan McCann, Louise Morrissey, Johnny Brady, Nigel Connell and Simon Casey.

They enjoyed sets from new husband Simon and his musical family before Cliona took to the stage herself for a set of covers by the Queen of country which went on till 3am.

Earlier in the evening, an emotional Cliona told wedding guests how “no one had ever treated her like Simon”, who she said had been so kind to her.

The couple will honeymoon in Dolly’s hometown of Nashville before visiting Mexico and Vegas.

The singer held her lavish reception just days after said that she was “so petrified” to walk down the aisle.

The country star revealed how “nervous” she is for the big day as “everybody will be looking at her”.

Cliona told The Six O’Clock Show: “Oh my goodness… I am so nervous! I mean really, really nervous.

“When you’re on stage performing, it’s so different because that’s where I feel most comfortable. I love singing and I love being on stage.

“But when it comes to walking down the aisle I’m so petrified because obviously everybody will be looking at me.

“I just find it so nerve-wracking. It’s just so weird or something.”
