Inside TJ Reid and Niamh De Brún’s honeymoon as couple stop off in plush Phuket hotel while showing off ‘farmer’s tan’

KILKENNY hurling star TJ Reid and his wife Niamh De Brún are continuing their idyllic honeymoon having jetted off to Thailand.

Having initially soaked up the sun and luxury of Dubai, this is their latest stop on what looks like a dream trip.

A perfect setting to relax and lounge around all day

The couple actually got married in November but delayed their honeymoon til after Ballyhale’s run to the All-Ireland club final.

But since they departed for the Middle-East right as a bunch of named storms lined up to batter Ireland, the timing couldn’t have worked out any better for their getaway.

Limerick native Niamh works as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with pharmaceutical company AbbVie as well as earning a living through her social media posts – she boasts over 20,000 more followers than her Cats icon spouse.

WEDDING DELAYS

They had been engaged since 2019 but had to postpone their big day multiple times due to the pandemic.

But when they finally got to tie the knot, they did so in style at a beautiful ceremony at the Holy Trinity Abbey Church in Adare, Limerick.

Both were well dressed for the occasion, with Reid kitted out in a suave tuxedo, and De Brún in an elegant dress.

As is tradition when GAA players get married, they were given a guard of honour by some of his teammates as they held hurls aloft outside the church.

From there, the overjoyed newlyweds travelled just up the road to the Adare Manor Hotel for an appropriately lavish reception.

It was a long road from when they first met in 2014 in Cork, the same place Reid would end up proposing.
