Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Carlton Rule of Ridgeland, announce the engagement of their daughter, Olivia Courtney Rule to Charles Rosa Davis Bourne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lloyd Bourne Jr. of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Olive Coker Horne and the late James Bryant Horne Jr. of Jackson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Wesley Rule of Ridgeland. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. Charles Rosa Davis of Point Clear, and the late Marcia Yates Davis of Jackson, and Peggy Caviness Noel of Cleveland, Tenn., and the late Sam Lloyd Bourne Sr. of Jackson.
Miss Rule is a 2017 honors graduate of Jackson Academy where she was student body president and a Hall of Fame recipient. She attended the University of Mississippi and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She recently graduated magna cum laude from Millsaps College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a financial services concentration. She was the 2021 recipient of the Merrill Lynch Award for Excellence in Investments.
Bourne is a 2012 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He was graduated magna cum laude from Millsaps College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in business and mathematics with a financial services concentration. Bourne is a CFA Charterholder and serves as a board member and industry mentor to the General Louis Wilson student-managed investment fund for Millsaps College. He is the portfolio analyst for Finkelberg Investments of Raymond James.
The couple will exchange vows on July 30 at First Baptist Church of Jackson with a reception to follow at the Railroad District. After the wedding, the couple will reside in Jackson.
